| chashama tries to maintain a selection of venue types at several locations for availability at low hourly rates. Periodically, the real estate market does not have enough vacancies for us to provide this service as we would like. Currently we have only 217 East 42nd Street, (between 3rd and 2nd Avenues) which is our primary events and exhibition venue and therefore is available for rehearsal only in the absence of other programming. Artists needing to rent space for classes, production rehearsals, workshops or auditions at $12-$40/hr (depending on usage) can apply online for single or multiple requests at www.chashama.org/rehearsals.htm.Performance Rentals
chashama's theatrical rental service is for the use of our fully outfitted black box theatres. Artists have access to our lighting, sound and set supplies and equipment. Subsidized rental rates are $300-$500 day rate and $1250-1500 per week depending on non-profit status. |
