It all started in 1959 when my grandfather,Dimitri Gravanis, opened a flower shop on the northwest corner of 89th Street & Madison Avenue My grandfather ran a successful flower shop but his true passion was in designing city terrace gardens. He also hoped to one day operate greenhouses in New York City.
