Since Eos’ inaugural concert at Alice Tully Hall in 1995, founder and Artistic Director Jonathan Sheffer and Eos have sought to expand both the realm of the concert experience and the audience for classical music. In programs that juxtapose familiar repertoire with the unexpected, Eos has found its niche both in New York and nationally with visually engaging performances of eclectic music by many of the most accomplished musicians and guest artists of our time. Eos spotlights classic masterpieces in new contexts, commissions new work, breaks down traditional concert hall barriers, and forges new and powerful connections between music and other artistic disciplines.
